Toothless!

Well it is official, I have one trying his hardest to get his first tooth and the other lost his first tooth! We were loading the Urban Farm Truck Friday morning with the last minute BSE (Baby Survival Equipment) and Cameron let me know that his loose tooth was "really, really loose!" so I said just a minute and I would take a look. Well in the 5 minutes it took me to unload my arms I was met at the door by a toothless smile. Here is how the conversation took place:

Cameron: "Mama look its gone and it didn't hurt and no blood at all" (Thank God for the no blood because I am not sure how that would have went over. I missed the chapter on that one.)

Me: "Wow Binks, how cool. Where is it so we can leave it for the tooth fairy?"

Cameron: "It's here in my belly!" (I thought great I am so not going after that one!)

Me: "Well I guess we will just draw a picture of it and leave her a note."

Simple as that, not so bad after all. I have to say I am glad it is out because it really creeped me out how he was playing with it all the time. So sorry Mom and Dad for the time that I turned my loose one around and got it stuck. Lets hope he doesn't try that with the next one!

Summer Fun!

Do you ever wonder where a child's energy source comes from? We ask that question a lot around here. Cameron can go for hours on end. Thursday was a busy day getting ready for the trip and around 8 pm he found a new energy source. Lightening Bugs! It was such a joy to watch him run and try to catch one. He ran and ran, secretly I knew this would be great because he might just collapse at some point so I could finish my work!

The fruits of his labor, which Mr. Miller let go once the hunter was down for the night.

Preparing for Travel

Well it is official, we are headed out of town on Friday morning. This will be the first 4Th of July holiday that Mr. Miller and myself have not worked in 4 years. Can you believe it? We are headed to see the Deacon and Pops and the family cottage in Pana, Illinois. Don't worry I had never heard of that place either before I started dating Mr. Miller. Quaint little town in south central Illinois about 5 1/2 hours from here, well that was before we added the boys to the list. When we drove with just Cameron the trip became 6 1/2 hours and now with Henry I just don't know what to expect. Oh, did I tell you that Cameron wants to bring the wonder mutt, Peanut along. Not sure how I am going to get out of this one.

The Deacon and Pops left from Valdosta, GA last night, so they should get there this evening. It will be a fun weekend with fishing, swimming, great food, church friends and fireworks. We are even going to have a family church service that the Deacon will preside over. I helped pick the music!




Today is going to be a full day of marking off lists, baking Gluten Free items, laundry (must have clean diapers) and packing suitcases. I think I will also draw up a plan for loading the Urban Farm Truck too. I want tomorrow to be relaxing, yeah right! We leave Friday at 8am, again we will see how that goes! Well I am off on my day! Isn't summer fun?
