Some of the best things in life...

There is a saying, "some of the best things in life are free..." this rang true this weekend at Green Acres. Cameron had received a bike this spring that had been passed down through 5 of my nephews and nieces. It was first given to my nephew, Nate, what a prized possession to a 5 year old that thinks Nate "hung the moon".

Cameron had come down with strep over the weekend and was feeling better on Sunday afternoon so he came out to help Mama and Daddy clean the garage. OK so that is code for what kind of trouble can I create and how many things can I get into? Trust me in the fact that it was welcomed considering how quiet and lethargic he had been.

Mr. Miller and Cameron uncovered the bikes. It was time for a riding lesson, he is still a little timid on it but will gain confidence as we go. New activities are sometimes a little much for Cameron, but with persistence and talking it through we usually get through it.

"Daddy you stay right with me, OK?"

"You are doing great Little Dude!"

"You got it!"

There is something to be said for enjoying watching the man you love help out your favorite 5 year old! I am so blessed to have 3 amazing boys in my life.

"I did it, I did it!"

Let the games begin!

Well its started, Henry is crawling everywhere. He had recently taken a few little crawls but yesterday afternoon when he woke up I put him down and off he went. It was like one of Cameron's little race cars that you shake and put down and away they go. At first Cameron thought that this would be fun, but this morning not so much.

Henry is into anything that Cameron has out. Cameron says "he is not playing nice" and I keep reminding him that he asked for a brother and that this is what babies do. In the world of a 5 almost 6 year old not the answer he was looking for.

OH, let the games begin. This could be hours of entertainment for Mr. Miller and I. Have a great Friday.

Finding Fall

Cameron and I decided to find Fall today after school. Junior Mint fell asleep on the way home so Cameron and I started on our adventure. We got a "treasure can" and off we went. We collected leaves of all shapes, sizes and colors. There were a few acorns in the mix too. We stopped and watched the leaves on their gentle dance to the ground with the help of the wind. It is so beautiful and peaceful out.

We came inside and popped some corn, got some juice and decided to make pictures for Daddy. Cameron decided that Mr. Miller needed a new sign for his desk at work. I think he did a pretty good job of remaking the emblem for that big green tractor company, what about you?

Have you found Fall lately? What activities have you shared in to find it for yourself?
